Oftentimes Ayakashi are related to the sea, but since pretty much none of the entities chosen by the mayors are sea-based/related, this definition doesn’t really work here.

(7): One of the most well known creatures in the Ayakashi/Yokai groups. Most similar to a devil/demon.

(9): A word typically shouted during fireworks. Tamaya is one of the two great firework crafter shops from the Edo period of Japan (the other is Kagiya. During this time, there would be firework competitions held between the two shops and voters would should the name of the shop that they liked the fireworks of. The tradition has been passed onto today with Tamaya being the more common saying due to different reasons, one of which being, it simply sounds better.
(10): A type of creature with the torso of a monkey, legs of a cheetah, and tail of a reptile.
(11): A type of creature that looks like a typical human woman, but has spider legs sprouting from its back.
(12): A type of creature with a human face, yet bird like anatomy.
(13): Hyakki yakō, literally meaning Night Parade of a Hundred Demons. Event where all yokai, ghosts, and other supernatural beings parade through japan to spread chaos.
